Smile is a autobiographical graphic novel written by  Raina Telgemeier. It gives a account of the authors life from middle school to high school. The book is based on the Teglemeier webcomic, Smile.

I would give it a 5 stars as it was funny, mysterious, and gets your attention. It’s a good reads choice awards best middle school grade and child book. 🙂

DORK DIARIES 10: Tales From a Not So Perfect Pet Sitter

SUMMARY: Dork Diaries is a very popular series. This is the tenth book in the series. In the book Nikki Maxwell finds this box of puppies and the mom dog. The shelter has no room for the dogs. Brandon,Nikki,Chloe and Zoe are keeping the dogs at each of their houses. All their parents say yes except Nikki’s Parents. They just got new floors carpet and furniture. So Nikki has no choice but to hide the dogs from her family. While Her parents are out of the house she tells Brianna. But I won’t spoil what  happens with her. At the same time guess who reappears that’s right Mackenzie Hollister.

ADDITIONAL INFO: This is the last book in the series. After this series the author will be writing a new series called The Adventures of Max Crumbly. He is introduced in the book so keep an eye out. And a behind the scenes look…  I spoke to the author and there will be a DD movie in 2017.

RECOMMENDATION: I give this book a 5 star rating because it has so much adventure,drama and crazy events. If you are already a DD fan and have read 1-9 read this book. If you have never read Dork Diaries read the other books in the series first. Don’t worry about the half books.

The book Snow Treasure is about a family that has a bullion of gold which is about thirty tons. The family and the four friends Helga,Lovisa,Peter,Micheal, and the school trying to save Peter’s family’s gold. So some of the school above 10 years old has to go on sleds with gold in the pockets of the sled across the snow for twelve miles past the Germans.

Additional Information

They live in Norway in 1940. Each month the snow gets higher and higher and it barely thaws  out.

Recommendation: I would recommend this book four stars.  I thought that Snow Treasure is a well written book by Marie Mcswigan.

This book was published in 1996 by the Albert and Whitman company. It is an autobiography by Peg Kehret, who also wrote the frightmares series and many other books.

I give this book 5 stars because it is funny and seems to be fiction, but it is true, which amazes me.

Additional Information: Some characters are August, Via, Jack, Julian, Summer, His Parents, Mr. Tushman. August is the main character who has a deformity. Via is his very defending sister who will do anything for him. Jack is a close friend, but they’ve had some differences. Julian is a bully that will do anything to hurt August feelings. Summer is a girl who doesn’t care about how you look on the outside, it’s the inside that matters to her. Mr. Tushman is the very nice and welcoming principal at Beacher Prep.

Recommendation: I rate this book 5 stars because it will probably be the best book I’ll ever read. I love this book because the authors looks from so many point of views to make this an amazing book.

Recommendation: I would rate this book 4 stars; I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy fantasy and adventure books.

They stay for the summer, and it turns out to be much different than any of them had ever expected.

Recommendation: I would recommend this book to anyone, really. I think anyone who has any kind of fear at all would be able to relate to it. I would give this book five stars for it’s wonderfully written story about kids with fears.

This wonderful book, Finally, is about a high school student named Rory who lives in Willow Falls.The oddness begins on her field trip to the Willow Falls Reservoir( for the millionth time!), where she gets stuck in a drain pipe. As she thinks how she will get out she also thinks that if she had a phone she could call someone to get her out. You see, her parents are overprotective and keep telling her that she can get this and that once she’s twelve. Luckily she planned ahead and listed all of the things that they told her that for.

2. stay home alone

3. get my own screen name so that i can can IM

and other things. But when she is sooo exited for everything, it all goes wrong! Find out what happens to Rory and read the book!

Without even having to think, rate this with 5 stars! I loved this book sooooooo much! I would recommend this to girls who have the other books, like 13 gifts or 11 birthdays.

Pie, is a book about a girl named Alice. Her aunt Polly, is the pie queen of Ipswitch. Polly makes amazing pies that people from all over come to taste. Polly has won awards for her pies too. But one day, when the famous pie queen of Ipswitch dies everyone is trying to figure out the recipe for Polly’s amazing pie crust recipe. According to Polly’s will, she left the famous pie crust recipe to LARDO, and leaves her pet cat Lardo to Alice. People are going crazy thinking that she left the recipe to a cat. Alice’s mother is furious at Polly for not telling her the recipe. Alice’s mom tries to make a pie herself but it turns out as one big ugly blob. Alice can’t figure out what her aunt meant when she left the recipe to LARDO. Alice tells Charlie, her friend, and together they figure out what Polly had meant. With that they figure out the not-so-secret pie crust recipe.

I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars because it was very fun to read. I liked it because it is sort of a mystery. I would recommend this book to people who like suspense.
