It was all because of Winn-Dixie. Opal couldn’t make friends without Winn-Dixie and if Winn-Dixie couldn’t be found by Opal he could be sent to the pound.
The most exiting part was when everyone thinks Winn-Dixie got lost, but he wasn’t actully lost he was just trying to get rid of his fear. my favourite character is Winn-Dixie because this is ALL…. because of Winn-Dixie. i think that the auther wrote this book to entertain.
I would recomend this book because it’s really exiting for any person like child, teen, adult. and the auther used good detail and vocabulary. I would give this book 4 stars. It’s awesome! you have got to read it.

I have read this book,and it is defiantly a mix of happy moments and sad ones too. I like books about animals and so when I saw “Because of Wind Dixie” in the library,it really caught my eye.
This book is such a classic and it won the Newbery award. It covers such complex topics with kindness and a bit of humor. And I love books with dogs as the main character.
