Title: Because Of Winn-Dixie
Author: Kate DiCamillo
Call Number:
Genre: Realistic Fiction
Summary: This book is about India Opal Buloni finding a dog at the store in the beginning of the story. Her dad is a preacher and India keeps the dog but her dad the (preacher) won’t let India keep the dog because the dog keeps on breaking things and ruining things that are in the house. Winn- Dixie the (dog) is also afraid of thunderstorms so when its pouring rain outside he will freak out and run all over the house. I really like this book because it’s not so boring and it’s very entertaining because at first when i started reading it i told to my self that this book was interesting so i kept on reading. In second grade we watched the movie and also read the book. But the movie is a tiny bit different when you compare the book and the movie. It was either in 3rd grade or 2nd grade that i watched the movie.
Additional Information: I give this book 5 stars because I hope that there was a part 2 of the Winn-Dixie book. I also really do like this book because I like how the author did a good job of explaining all the details and I also like the movie because I got to see the difference of the book and the movie when I saw the movie and the book.
I recommend this book to the book that have read or enjoy reading the books by Kate DiCamillo and I recommend this book to the people that like realistic Fiction.
