This book is about a teenage girl, Nikki Maxwell, who is going to her new school, Westchester Country Day. She is apparently the only one without a cellphone, and to be with the CCPs (cute, cool, and popular) she needs to have a cellphone to text and call on but her mom doesn’t let her for now and when Nikki just gets the faith that her mom will get her one, it is the diary where she starts her story. Once she gets to school she meets her new friends, Chloe and Zoey, and her new enemy. Leader of the CCPs, Mackenzie along with her friend Jessica. As she tries to at least get through middle school without any trouble, Mackenzie makes it harder my trying to embarrass her by telling everybody how she got there in the first place. Her dad is in the bug business. The rest of her family is her mother and her sister Brianna. At home is also chaos. with her sister and her friend Miss Penelope bothering her constantly and her mother always wanting family time that always turns out a disaster and her dad riding around in the roachmobeal and Mackenzie trying to ruin her life! What else could go wrong? Better read to find out. I give this book 4 stars for great stories and funny jokes.
